How to Script SAP-GUI

Dear all,

anyone out there who can give some hints to Script SAP GUI with AutoIt (or other).

When I use "Active Window Info" there isn't shown much helpful about the Buttons and fields within the SAP-GUI.

I find a lot of things I'm scripting lately give me no usefull information at all on control IDs.

That doesn't make it impossible. You just wind up falling back to scripting keyboard actions like send("!n") for Next, send("!f") for Finish.

I'll be submitting a SAP UDF somtime soon.

It uses SAP's own COM object to allow the script to communicate directly with SAP, and recognize the controls in a SAP window. Using AutoIT's core window and keyboard function will work however. They just aren't as fail-safe as going directly through SAP's COM object.

I'll let you know when it's available.
