  • Full Screen / Limit to active window,

  • and pick color with Choose Color Dialog.

It works fine at least on the XP SP2 machines I tested it on. If you find bugs please let me know.

The executable can be downloaded from my site: http://www.funk.eu

Kudos to Nahuel, Larry, Monamor and xwinterx at the AutoIt Forum for parts of the code

Enjoy and with Best Regards

Can you host at a better file sharer? Rapidshare plain SUCKS. Sendspace.com is free, no waiting, only ads.

I will relocate the downloads to my own webspace this evening. I got to much bandwidth left anyhow, no need to be avaricious with it.

Also, are you providing the source?

No, I'm not planning to provide the source.

Best Regards

Looks good. If you want look here for more formats.

Thanks, will look up the conversion maths for those additional formats and implement them (as optional) in the next version.

Also re-located the downloads from rapidshare to my own account.

Best Regards

Now I can make even more accurate pixel color based programs with your COP.

(I wouldn't have seen this therad if you didn't reply in my input problem thread, that's when I saw this thread link in your sig :D )

You Rock!

Lets check your other threads now.... :D

Thanks for the nice feedback :P.. Yeah, one of the reason why I answer questions :D

Though I already learned that COP will fail on Vista. But as I have no Vista installed I'm not able to test and fix :D, but hey, who uses Vista anyhow :o

Hello Community,

I decided to update COP.

  • Now open source
  • Added support for CMY and CMYK (by November)
  • Switched Zoom GUI, now hopefully it works on Vista (by WideBoyDixon)
  • Zoom Level can be changed

very nice!! something i can really use.

A few things:

Make it so the zoom lens disapperars when hovered over the GUI.

get the zoom factor to work... when you zoom beyond a factor of 6, a copy of the zoom window appears in the corner... that is probably becouse the window is next to the mouse, so this effect is created. I don't have a clue as to how to solve the problem, but it sounds hard.

when zooming into higher levels, i have noticed that the crosshairs point to the upper-left of the pixel in question, I am being trivial, but any chance of a centered version?

Looking for more functions - how about reading a database and getting colour names? that would be pretty nice.

other than that, very very nice script.

Hello Community,

here's another update to COP.

  • Zoom GUI now be default deactivated while hovering over COP GUI
  • Zoom Levels reduced to 2-4-8-16, should be sufficient for all needs
  • Last 10 selected colors are now retained as a "pick history" => Idea inspired by "Color Grab" from Hest
  • COP now includes a sample GUI which contains a list of "Browser compliant colors" => Idea inspired by "Color List" from insignia96, tweaked by billthecreator

Nice update. Few things -

- the 'Select Color' button places the GUI into pause and adds the color to the pick history

- the only way to add to pick history is to pause? seems this should be a separate hotkey, and pause should just pause

Keep up the nice work!

Hi wraithdu,

Oh I see, you mean the Color Dialog does not add the color to pick history... will fix :)...

Thats a great idea, will implement another hotkey in the next release to just add the color to pick history!

Thanks for the feedback

Actually I mean that when you press the 'Select Color' button to popup the dialog, it automatically places the GUI into a paused state (like you hit the Pause hotkey) and adds the color you currently have selected (usually the button's background) to the pick list. Pausing the GUI is OK, but it shouldn't add an entry to the pick list.

I can assure you it's not related to COP at all! Hey, it's open source, compile it yourself... and I got a valid imprint on my homepage. What kind of stupid hacker would I be? Also be assured that if I wanted to drop malware, I wouldn't do it under my realname :D ...
