  1. True, and this is the actual problem I'm having. I need it to only unhide those windows that were originally shown on the taskbar. How can I check if a window is shown on the taskbar or not?
  2. How can I hide windows that are currently open and showing (basically those that show on the taskbar, and not including those in the background run by the system? Of course the other windows will already be hidden, but then I want to also be able to unhide just those. Here is the code that I currently have, but it hides and also unhides every single window, regardless wether it is shown on the taskbar as active/enabled or already hidden. Basically i want to know how to be able the titles of those windows that are open and show on the taskbar. E.g. If i have a folder named Scripts, it will show on the taskbar. I want to be able to simply hide that folder and also unhide it later. If someone can please help me with that, I would much appreciate it and would then be able to figure the rest out. 3. It is the type of character which looks like a space, e.g. Alt+0160
  4. Okay, basically I have a file named as a blank character (basically a space, but because spaces cannot be used for file names, there is a character which looks like a space, but has a value), and i would like to delete the file in an autoitscript. But for some reason the script doesnt recognize the character. Any idea how to fix it so that i can delete the "blank-char-named" file?
  5. wht abt running it as a system process? because i dnt have the admin username and password....uh so yeh...
  6. yes but with no luck so far

  9. any othr way?

  13. Aite, as many of u already knw...me and a few members have laptops with the school, but of cours they have many restrictions. One restriction was that only some control panel applets are allowed (Keyboard, Mouse, Phone, Power options and sounds)....and even within these, they have rstrictions. E.g. Under power options, u cant change power button settings or power schemes. My question is...is there a way to have a script run a cpl applet or from a shortcut to the actual cpl extension as the system rather than my restrictive user account? Bcoz, the system can't exactly be denied to the cpl extensions, else it would function properly, so if i ran a cpl extension under the system, than theoretically it should work right? any ideas how to do this or anythin similar presenting the same result?
  14. If anyone wants a more user friendly version of this....i've mod'd it to prompt for the locations etc, i can give one (of cours credit due to nikon), havent posted it up in this topic bcoz i dnt think nikon is too comfortable with me doing so...
  15. well i du close the lid so yeh
