ning
Hello,This script accepts one or more JPGs as command-line arguments, and for each one adds a 'rating' string (1-5) to the EXIF comment string. If a rating has already been given, it increases the rating, wrapping around back to 1 if it goes above 5. It defaults to 4, assuming that unrated pictures are 'average', i.e. 3.I created this so that I could produce slideshows of only my 'best' digital photos, so as not to bore all my friends stupid with endless holiday snaps The way I use it is in conjunction with IrfanView - compile the script and set the EXE as your 'external editor' in IrfanView. Then just press SHIFT-E when viewing pictures, et voila! Instant ratings. It needs JHead to work. This is a small command-line utility to read and write EXIF headers in JPEG files. It's not very robust at the moment - it seems to work OK on my images, but there's not much error-checking.Hope this is useful for someone. Any comments?benrating.au3
