Writing DPI Awareness App - workaround

Some time ago I fought doggedly with the issue:

Writing DPI-Aware Desktop and Win32 Applications

It was here:

MSDN: SetProcessDpiAwareness function

MSDN <> AutoIt : Developing a Per-Monitor DPI-Aware WPF Application

AppCompatFlags UDF

And I see other members also ask for this solution: Autoit and DPI awareness

And finaly solution comes thanks to UEZ, exactly here: DPI Resolution problem

Now I would like to present a working example.

The following scirpt is based on:

I think you doing it wrong.

These reason of larger font on higher DPI windows setting,
is because otherwise they would be to small to be read on high resolutions.
Writing a DPI aware app means you have to make sure your window and
all the controls are big enough to hold the text.

Also you use GdipGetDpiX, but whats with GdipGetDpiY.
Actually, I can't image a case when they will be different.
But than again, why would there be two, if not for a reason?

You do not take into account a case such as this followed.

This is a full screen screenshot from Win7 with 1280*720 and 150% DPI

EDIT1: in this case (following example) function is used.

post-10673-0-93774200-1424636191_thumb.p

BTW:

I have few clients who works with that wired desktop setup :)

EDIT2:

and here is example without using this function.

Also you use GdipGetDpiX, but whats with GdipGetDpiY.

The main problem which I want to solve was to make sure text in controls fits size of this controls.

So the main problem was X dimension.

I saw your pictures, in post #2 already. That's the reason I posted here.

People set high DPI, to have better readable and bigger text on their small monitor with very high resolution.

Windows makes the text bigger, that's wanted.

If you decrease the font size, they will have a problem.

Run this example on yours system settings. Make fullscreen screenshot. Put it here. And say what a resolution and DPI ratio is used.

You have right, but it should be used in this way:

Local $aresults[2] = [1, 1]
