I live by this simple run command. Allows me to open any file without worry.

Thank you.

Can I add a question that fits this topic - is there a way to open the file to a certain link?

If you need more information - I will provide.

$File = "mk:@MSITStore:C:\Program%20Files\AutoIt3\beta\AutoIt3.chm::/html/license.htm"
Run(@ComSpec & " /c Start " & FileGetShortName($File), "", @SW_HIDE)

I got the URL from right clicking the CHM page and pulling the address. However it doesn't open it in "CHM" format.. So I am not sure exactly how to do it.

That at least starts the process down the path I might take, thanks.

With a little research.. This seems to work to go to a specific topic.

$File = "hh.exe C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\beta\AutoIt3.chm ::/html/license.htm"
Run(@ComSpec & " /c Start " & FileGetShortName($File), "", @SW_HIDE)
That works great - where did you find that and how are you opening an htm file in the chm file (or if memory serves me right - the chm file is really a bunch of htm files banded together in a help file)

Then I guess my next question would be - is there a naming convention for the files and if not is there a listing of all the htm files with out having to use the website and hover over each link to get the ones I want?
