Surfing in the forums I noticed there are many posts about shaped gui but it is a difficult point... till now!!!

I have created this tool that takes a GIF image used as a backgroun for the form and allows the programmer to "trace" the shape over the image itself then you can generate the code of the form by simply a click...

Limitations:
-Only GIF images are compatibles (sorry)
-Win2000+ required (no 9x)

I created an example (nemo.au3) with the program. Requires the image "nemo.gif" (my wife's poodle) in @scriptdir...

Attached File  ShapedGUI.zip   138.71K   1320 downloads

This code was possible by joining good pieces of code of great programmers like Valuater, Gafrost, Larry and others I loose his names.... Thanks to all!!!

To do:
-Undo function
-Multiple regions
-Preview window

Hasta la vista!!!

Ed

That's an excellent little utility. Thanks!

Really Nice!!! Ed.....

Also, it is really great that you give thanks to the designer of the original UDF/Function

.... But

$a &=";Author of this code: Valuater, modified by: Ed_Maximized"&@CRLF

I think the "main" portion of this UDF/Function was designed by Larry... not me

... again, nice job!!

Thank you all for your comments!!!

I would like to see examples of programs done with this utility so it would motivate me to follow improving it.

Just one suggestion, there are lots of windows that get opened when you run this script, I think it'd look a little nicer if they were child windows of the main GUI...
