KeyBoard and Mouse Cleaner!

The program is intended to help you clean your mouse and keyboard.

The program blocks mouse and the keyboard input on given period of time (thus provides reliable cleaning that you will not press by accident on some button ), and also it is convenient to clean because you do not need to shutdown your computer.

Usage:

- After start of the program specify in what time you wish to finish cleaning, and then press button "Clean".
- If necessary specify desirable preferences (which are not so many at the time ).

* The program can be translated to any (speach) language, all language values stored in the file KM_Cleaner_Lang.lng - to add new language, the "translator" must create new section in that file with name [Translation_Lang], where Lang is the name of the translating language.

Attention: To disable the input blocking at any time, it is necessary to hold down these hotkeys: CTRL ALT DELETE.

Current limitations of the program:

- The program does not work under Windows 95 and under Windows NT4 (without Service Pack 6) .
- The program intended to block the standard keyboard; this means that the keyboard must be a standard 101 button keyboard. If the keyboard includes buttons such as "Power", "Sleep", or "Wake Up", their blocking is not provided. However the program blocks a mouse completely .

Just saw this... It's nice and simple with nice extra features! I love the music too..

A few English correction for better grammar:
"Remained" should be Remaining or even better "Time remaining: "
The top text should be similar to: "What time would you like to finish cleaning your mouse and keyboard?"
Also, the title of your window is rather odd concerning caps, "KeyBoard and mouse", I would have "Keyboard and Mouse".

Just my suggestions, I'm not an English master or anything.

Hi!
I don't want to take away anybody's joy or critizise the work - I'm sure it was quite some effort. But why go through all the huzzle when you can just simply "unplug" your keyboard or mouse? The only advantage of the prog that I read here would be the nice music.
Please don't be offended. I really wonder.

On some machines, if you unplug the keyboard (or the mouse as well sometimes), you will need to reboot your system, because when you plug-in it back, the device will not response.

And also, why the user need to go around the computer's corpus and unplug the keyboard, when he can just run a nice program that will do the job for him? And BTW, i need to pull out many stuff to able unplug the keyboard/mouse, so this will be not an easy task for me (and i sure for many others too).

If you have a laptop then unplugging the keyboard or mouse might not be an attractive option! I don't know about other countries but in the UK I believe that laptop sales are greater than Desktop PC sales, so there's a big market for MsCreatoR's script.

A lot of computers are not conveniently positioned for unplugging keyboards and mice and the tangle of wires I have seen on peoples PCs, apparently held together with cobwebs, puts you off wanting to touch them. I would rather run a little script than unplug and then have to reconnect. Also, many people who use computers and who would like to clean their keyboards would be afraid to unplug things.

But it's just personal preference I suppose.

Just one thing I could think of adding would be a (or more) command line switch to set the time out and autostart the program. eg /autostart /delay=5 (ie 5 minutes)

That way if you someone (mum, wife, etc) insists on cleaning your keyboard they can just click an icon and your script will start, lock the keybaord and exit after they have finished.

I can think of other uses for this idea.
Turn the keyboard off if your on a work bench and the keyboard gets knocked a lot.
If you have an important program running and you don't want it inperruted.
Keep your 5 year old niece from trashing the computer by bashing on the keyboard.

Well done! I'd have never thought about writing this program. :-)
