What about accepted requests that are in line in the 'Feature Requests (Possible)' sub-forum? Will they be processed from within the sub-forum or will they be merged with into the trac system?
It's up to the individual developer who decides to implement something whether they want to keep it on the forum or move it to Trac. I preferred Trac, so I moved the things I knew I was going to have to do myself.
I'm assuming that the new sub-forums have been redundated with the 'trac' system (other than for archival purposes). So basically in the future if someone wants to put up a request, they should first search the request forum and then the 'trac' system before putting up a request?
Unfortunately, until Trac gets a history built up of rejected features, that is indeed what people must do in order to avoid asking for things we've already rejected.
By the way (General statement to all, not just the person I'm quoting), just because we have a proper issue tracker now doesn't mean the features in the "Things NOT on the ToDo List" can be asked. They are still just as verboten on Trac as they are on the forum. Come to think of it, if I'm terribly bored one day, I should probably create a ticket for each feature, explain why we aren't doing it (AKA copy and paste from the aforementioned thread) and close it in an effort to curb the inevitable requests by providing something that'll show up in a search result.
