New2Automation
Can any one of you help me in doing bitmap comparison in the sense that I have a stored image. At run time, I need to fetch a screen shot and compare this with the stored one. (Similar to bitmap comparison in Winrunner). Thanks in advance

Thanks in advanceThere are quite some image comparison/OCR DLL's/codecs out there. The better ones are not for free but if you need it for something important then it might be worth your buck. Don't have any experience with any of them so I cannot recommend any, but there should be photoshop forums or something that have lengthy discussions about this. I would say probably Google is your best friend in this case.Scripting bitmap comparison yourself is hardly a good idea if you plan on using native AutoIt code since it will be slow, so slow. And to make it really good is very difficult. Use a faster compiler language if you want try it, possibly also use open source examples and build out on those. Roses are FF0000, violets are 0000FF... All my base are belong to you.
