SciTE's new file template

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded the SciTE editor from JdeB's My AutoIt Stuff, and it looks pretty sweet. I especially like the AutoComplete. I'm wondering if there's a way to change what the editor places in a new file automatically, i.e. change the author name.

Yep. It's actually a setting in Windows

1) Create a template the way you want it and save it as an AutoIt script.

2) Install TweakUI for Windows XP or for Windows 9x/Me/2000 as appropriate

3) Run TweakUI (you can find it on the Start Menu Programs, Power Toys), and click the "Templates" tweaking section

4) Click the Create button... point it to the file you created in step#1... Yes/Apply/OK/etc.

Use Mozilla | Take a look at My Disorganized AutoIt stuff | Very very old: AutoBuilder 11 Jan 2005 prototype I need to update my sig!

If you use Autoit installer, not zip. Then you have new-> .au3 association.

Then JdeB post for template, copy to personal template folder or allusers template folder.

Scite will read that template fist, when you create a new .au3.

Tweakui is good, but not needed?

Sorry, do not mean to jump between views. Just on what I have learn't from JdeB.
