fcjoe
Hello, Not sure what the correct terminology for this is. My boss has asked me to look into finding a way to verfy my compiled scripts are actually mine. So if I compile a script and it's called sriptname.exe, we email the script to users who need to run it. We want to make sure that if one of those users writes his own script with the same name, we will be able to identify which one is the correct one (ie. mine). I've looked in the compile options settings and can't find any way to do that. Is there a way to do this in AutoIt? Thanks, Joe
Pandemic
You could de-compile the script and have your name commented in at the top (although that might take a while) You could send the source-code with the script (they'd just have to stay together) You could put your name or initials in the name of the script Or you could make yourself a custom icon, and when you compile any of your scripts, attach that icon to it in the compilation process. I personally think the last one is the most effective, and least time-consuming, but the third is also feasible >_<. -Pandemic
Moderators Melba23 Posted August 13, 2009 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2009 fcjoe, Take a look at this post. It shows how to get a "hash" of your file attached to your .exe and which can be checked later. Any changes = different "hash" = certainty that it is not yours!
