Manjish
You could read the date and time of a file in the dvd by using FileGetTime().. Don't forget to include <File.au3> Manjish NaikEngineer, Global Services - QPSHoneywell Automation India LimitedE-mail - Manjish.Naik@honeywell.com

BrettF
Definitely not. You are not willing to try by yourself, so what makes you think I could be bothered to help? Hawkwing
We on the autoit forum don't help those who don't help themselves. I myself don't see why Manjish's idea wouldn't work. The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. Manjish
@hawkwing I too am un sure why this guy says that my idea won't work.. I tried this out.. It works.. I mean if somebody doesn't even try out a solution, how can he dismiss it entirely.. I have lost total interest in helping this guy!! >_< And I guess, I am not the only 1!! BrettF
What I did to achieve this was recursively find every file (it would be all created at different times right?) and got the max and the min values... >_ Vist my blog!UDFs: Opens The Default Mail Client | _LoginBox | Convert Reg to AU3 | BASS.au3 (BASS.dll) (Includes various BASS Libraries) | MultiLang.au3 (Multi-Language GUIs!)Example Scripts: Computer Info Telnet Server | "Secure" HTTP Server (Based on Manadar's Server)Software: AAMP- Advanced AutoIt Media Player | WorldCam | AYTU - Youtube Uploader Tutorials: Learning to Script with AutoIt V3Projects (Hardware + AutoIt): ArduinoUseful Links: AutoIt 1-2-3 | The AutoIt Downloads Section: | SciTE4AutoIt3 Full Version! The best that can be determined is the date/time stamp of the files, which obviously can be manipulated/modified by burning software. Oraculo
BrettF thanks for attentionDriveGetSerial () returns me the volume serial dvdsearch by physical disk serial ...this would be an alternative.so I was looking for a mode of reading the date of recording.the volume serial can only be verified after the record already recorded.thus can not use it as potecao on my record.if anyone knows a way to change the volume serial before burning the discthis solves my problem Edited August 22, 2009 by Oraculo
