Sparrowlord
I have a function that I want to call on a press of a button that does a while statement and loops endlessly until I hit the button again and it stops. However, I have no idea how to do this.. Basically: Func Loop() While 1 ; Do things here.. WEnd EndFunc However, I just want that function to be toggled by the same key. So where i.e. I hit F11 and it starts the loop.. and I hit F11 again and it stops the loop.
Firstone
This should work. Global $S = 0 HotKeySet("{F11}", "Loop") Func Loop() If $S = 1 Then $S = 0 Elseif $S = 0 Then $S = 1 EndIf While $S Stuff here WEnd EndFunc
GEOSoft
This should work. Global $S = 0 HotKeySet("{F11}", "Loop") Func Loop() If $S = 1 Then $S = 0 Elseif $S = 0 Then $S = 1 EndIf While $S Stuff here WEnd EndFunc Here is a slight modification to that, Warning: Untested Global $S = False HotKeySet("{F11}", "Loop") Func Loop() $S = NOT $S ;; $S is now True so the loop will run HotKeySet("{F11}", "noLoop") While $S ;; do Stuff here WEnd HotKeySet("{F11}", "Loop") EndFunc Func noLoop() $S = NOT $S ;; $S is False again so the loop in Loop() will terminate EndFunc George Question about decompiling code? Moderators Melba23 Posted February 1, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2017 minipie01, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. You do realise that the post above yours dates from over 9 years ago? In future please do not resurrect threads from this far back - the language has changed so much that it is likely that any previously posted code will almost certainly not run in the current version of AutoIt without modification.
