atomulesei
Hello! I'm new to AutoIt, and I have a problem which I'm not sure it can be done. I have a C# project with the AutoItX3.dll referenced, and at a given point I have some au3 script (previously edited in a text editor within the application) as a string or stream. What I want to do is compile the script and execute it using just a referenced dll, ideally, without having to save the script as a file and call the AutoIt3.exe as an external process with the file as parameter. Is this even remotely possible? Thanks
Richard Robertson
You can't do that through the dll. It has no functionality for that. You would be better off translating it to C# if that's the way you want to run it. The dll is for calling a few of the AutoIt functions from other languages. jvanegmond
Although, I guess you can rewrite or modify the current AutoIt interpreter into a DLL to provide that sort of functionality. It will probably only be for the purpose of studying, because the AutoIt source license is very clear about not sharing or using it commercially. github.com/jvanegmond
