Itunes read song

i looking to find what song is currently playing on itunes. i have no idea where to start.

i tried using the autoit window info thing that came w/ autoit and i dont know what to do with what it give me.

There is a iTunes UDF, try that.

i got it after a while of help file

$text = ControlGetText("[CLASS:iTunes]", "", "Static23")
MsgBox(0, "Text read was:", $text)

but how would i do something like this

$text = ControlGetText("[CLASS:iTunes]", "", "Static23")
If $text = "asdf" then Run("cmd.exe")

Your best bet would be to use COM.

$iTunes=ObjCreate("iTunes.Application")
$Song=$iTunes.CurrentTrack.Artist & " - " & $iTunes.CurrentTrack.Name
MsgBox(0,"",$Song)

You should check out the iTunes COM SDK. The possibilities are limitless. I have already built a lyrics app and a hotkey tool using iTunes COM interface.
