Search for a specific file then mail it!

Hey. You think you guys can help me with a little program?

What it's gonna do:

Search the whole computer for a specific file (filename.txt) then send that file to a mail (using SMTP, which I've already fixed) and repeat that every 4 hour, and remove itself from autostart + kill itself after 2 days.

Do you think you guys can help me?

Remove itself from autostart:

RegDelete("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run", "RegKey")

But how do I make it remove itself after 2 days?

qwee,

Before we start trying to help, could you please explain what sort of file you are looking to find and mail, and why the script needs to "kill itself" (by which I understand delete itself) after 2 days?

I apologise in advance if there is a valid reason for your request, but........ :)

I had the same reaction as Melba23.

This topic has the odor of malicious code, and this user has a history of using this forum to work on questionable projects.

The file it's gonna search for is Profiles.xml

Then it gonna mail it to my e-mail via smtp, and remove itself after 2 days.

And how is this NOT for malicious purposes?

I concur that you are a questionable individual. You will no longer be able to post without those posts being reviewed first. Abuse this option, and you will no longer be able to post period.

Topic locked.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
