qzwx Posted November 16, 2009 Share Posted November 16, 2009 I try to make a script which reads data from a GUI application. GUI application seems to be an old 16-bit appliction (a wowexec.exe is always running when I start the GUI application). GUI application has so far run OK and never crashed but immediately when I start AutoItWindowInfo and try to move cursor above a GUI application's child window (from where I try to read the data), the GUI application crashes and according to TaskManager AutoItWindowInfo is not responding. Another odd thing is that GUI application has title text in its main window, but AutoItWindowInfo says that title is blank. AutoItWindowInfo finds other information like Class = OwlWindow, but not the title. My OS is WinXP. How can I automate this GUI application? Thanks for your help.
