How to automatic select a printer in a network

Recommended Posts

I have no clue how to begin !!

We have 2 printers (Hp and a Dymo-label printer) running in a network.

I just want to automatic switch from one printer to another without interference of a user.

HP-printer must be selected with A4 label and the Dymo-label with another layout.

(autoit in combination with filemaker)

Who can help ??

In case it's the sort of thing you're looking for, I wrote a script which automatically set the default printer depending on what application was recieving focus. This meant that if you changed to program A and clicked print it would print to the correct printer. If you search for a post by me in Example scripts which contains the word PSYCHO you should find it. I haven't looked at it for a long time but it should give some ideas and it might even still work.

Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.
