using web proxies

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I wonder if the following is possible in autoit...

I want to open a web browser/web page through an http proxy using autoit.

I've read through the forum and found this solution http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101852&st=0&p=723701&#entry723701 that modifies registry keys to update the proxy, but this solution affects all the IE web browsing for the PC it's running on so if the script is running while someone is working on the computer, it will probably disturb web surfing.

So I was wondering if there's a way to do it without changing the windows proxy settings...

I know for example that in Internet Macros (imacros) you can start a browser with proxy settings so only that specific browser is going through the proxy...

Is there any way to do something like this using autoit?

10x.
