wildcards

okay i searched in the helpfile for wildcards but cant find any ;s

$sFilter Optional the filter to use, default is *. Search the Autoit3 helpfile for the word "WildCards" For details.

but when i try to search i got this functions

_FileListToArray

FileFindFirstFile

FileCopy

FileDelete

FileMo....

but this dosent help me

i need to find the wilcard for jpg pictures i guess

any help?

"*.jp?g"

EDIT:

* = match any number of characters

? = match any single character

So the above translates to

*. = match any characters up to the dot

jp = match jp

? = match any single character ( in this case it could be an e as in jpeg)

g = match the g

If the File NAME (not the extension) has jpg as the last 3 letters that will work. If all the files are like something.jpg then the proper way is *.jpg
