Like a video game checking to see if your PC has enough Ram, HD space, good enough graphics, etc. before install.

There are various macros (begin with @) that check the different things on a user's system. Really all you need to do is determin what the requirements will be for Green, Yellow and Red and create your Gui.

DriveSpaceFree ( "path" )

might be useful to what you want as well

MemGetStats ( )
