Using StringSplit to remove characters

I have the following code

$trackname = IniRead("C:\Program Files\1by1\1by1.ini", "1by1", "last_file", "ValueNotFound")
ConsoleWrite("Return=" & FileWriteLine ("log.txt", $trackname ) & @LF)

that does what I want. It writes the details from 1by1.ini to log.txt, but it includes the full path to the file, because this is what the .ini file contains. The stuff in the log file is in the format of

c:\path\to\name of 1st file.mp3

c:\path\to\name of 2nd file.mp3

c:\path\to\name of 3rd file.mp3

I figure that I can make StringSplit to take out the bit that I don't need and just leave the filename. The path to the files are always identical, the filename is the only bit that changes. Ideally, c:\path\to\ would be removed, leaving just the filename to be written. How can I make it do this?

Solomon,

One way to do it: :D

$sFileName = "c:\path\to\name of 1st file.mp3"
$sFileName = StringRegExpReplace($sFileName, "^.*\\", "")
ConsoleWrite($sFileName & @CRLF)

Try a regexp:

Local $logline = "C:\fhio\fdho noife\gdshjio\abcdef.mp3"
Local $s = StringRegExp($logline, "(?i)(?U).*\\([^\\]+\.mp3)", 1)
ConsoleWrite($s[0] & @LF)

Thanks guys! :huggles:

I got it working with the following:

$trackdet = IniRead("C:\Program Files\1by1\1by1.ini", "1by1", "last_file", "ValueNotFound")
$trackname = StringReplace($trackdet, "C:\path\to\file\", "")
ConsoleWrite("Return=" & FileWriteLine ("Log.csv", @MDAY & "," & @MON & "," & @HOUR & ":" & @MIN & "," & $trackname ) & @LF)

I tried the examples you suggested, but I couldn't get them to work - my own fault, I'm sure. :D Thank you again.

???

The regexp at post #4 does work and doesn't depend on anything else. Your choice.
