AU3Record failing to Record accurately

What do I need to do to have the scriptwriter write code that I can use? Seems like most of the steps I record do not work after the recording unless they are heavily modified. Even the tutorials at 403forbidden403, specifically AutoIt Tutorial Part 13 include a reference to the instructor stating, “I will pause it while I clean up the code.” Should I use AU3Record.exe or Scriptwriter.exe? Seems like in the default menu I select Scriptwriter and it pops up as AU3Record.exe. This is odd as these two pages list the same pictures and descriptions with two different titles one version calling the program AU3Record.exe (see http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/AU3record.htm ) and one calling it Scriptwriter.exe. http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/ScriptWriter.htm

There is no mention of Scriptwriter or AU3Record in the help file. There is no mention of Scriptwriter or AU3Record in the main wiki. There is no mention of Scriptwriter or AU3Record in the main FAQ’s. There is no mention of Scriptwriter or AU3Record in the main tutorials. The online documentation does mention, “Alt+A - Run VoSs2o0o's AutoItMacroGenerator ...Another recorder for script.” Is this one easier for novices? There is no mention of Scriptwriter or AU3Record in the AutoIt v3 online documentation.

Looks like SciTE4AutoIt3 has its own link for online documentation and while it mentions Scriptwriter or AU3Record, it does not suggest how to troubleshoot code that does not work after recording such code. Is there something obvious that I should be adding to or removing from the recorded code to make it work as I had recorded it? Thanks in advance for any help. If I have time I will write up what I learned as a wiki or tutorial for other novices.

You never found this?

http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/AU3record.htm

EDIT:

Start simpler, continue with the video tutorials, try mine (sig) and AutoIt-1-2-3 (sig). You need to do all of them.
