sheck
Statusbar won't display text longer than 700 pixels Example: #include <GuiConstantsEx.au3> #include <GuiStatusBar.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> Opt('MustDeclareVars', 1) Global $hStatus Local $hGUI Local $aParts[1] = [10000] $hGUI = GUICreate("StatusBar Resize", 1000, 300, -1, -1) $hStatus = _GUICtrlStatusBar_Create($hGUI) _GUICtrlStatusBar_SetParts($hStatus, $aParts) _GUICtrlStatusBar_SetText($hStatus, "11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111112222222") GUISetState() Do Until GUIGetMsg() = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE GUIDelete() As you can see it cuts off the text. Somehow I cannot find any information on this. Is this a Microsoft limit or is there a command I'm not aware of ? Live and Learn, 'cause Knowledge is Super Power. water
I can see the limit on my machine - the last "2" characters arent displayed. I get exactly 127 characters. So I think it's a limit somewhere. I'm running AutoIt 3.3.4.0 on Windows XP SP 2 german. Moderators Melba23 Posted January 22, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) sheck and water, Vista HP SP2 - 6000 pixel wide GUI with 500 character status bar - displays perfectly. Perhaps an XP limit? M23 Edit: clarity. Mat
In Windows XP and earlier, the text for each part is limited to 127 characters. This limitation has been removed in Windows Vista. AutoIt Project Listing
