Help on ISO manipulation

Recommended Posts

Are there any Windows API for manipulating ISO images ?

Like listing of files in an ISO image, extracting image ...

If so could anyone provide an exampe, more info ?

My current workaround is through 7-zip command line.

Help is appreciated.

I would consider manipulating ISOs to be something you could use for malicious purposes, so good luck getting help here.

For those who are asking questions, look in the help file first. I'm tired of people asking stupid questions about how to do things when 10 seconds in the help file could solve their problem.

They already have a punishment system for abuse.
... and his his name is Valik.
www.minikori.com

You've got that backwards. Mostly useful things that might be used maliciously are not resisted here. Things for which almost ALL uses are malicious, such as key loggers and hiding processes, are not tolerated here. Not because the Mods think that will stop anybody from using them, just because they don't want this site and AutoIt associated with them.

Thanks for actually explaining what I said wrong there.

Or search example scripts for a link to Universal Extractor which is written in AutoIt and all the work has been done for you. It also handles many more file types than just ISOs and you can have it sitting in the context menu.

Question about decompiling code? Read the decompiling FAQ and don't bother posting the question in the forums.

I remember vaguley hearing something about CDRTools a while ago? Don't know if that would be any use.

Interpreters have great power!Although they live in the shadow of compiled programming languages an interpreter can do anything that a compiled language can do, you just have to code it right.
