I was just wondering why is @TempDir the only file path Macro that is in ShortName.

E-mail Microsoft.

Serious.

@TempDir contains the value of the TEMP environment variable.

It's default in Windows. Open a command box and type SET and see.

MsgBox(4096,"",lilTemp())

Func lilTemp()
   Return FileGetShortName(@TEMPDIR)
EndFunc

Sorry I dont get the point :).

@SlimShady, Interesting.

Should this be in the helpfile? I only noticed it today when I went to pipe something from DOS and @TempDir worked but not @ScriptDir.

Shouldn't this be

MsgBox(4096,"",lilTemp())

Func lilTemp()
   Return FileGetLongName(@TEMPDIR)  ; Did someone write this function?
EndFunc
