distancetime,

Welcome to the Autoit forum.

A good start - some code to work on and a clear question. I wish some other newcomers would do the same.

2 problems with the code as it stands:

1. You have the wrong syntax for ShellExecute. Look carefully at the second Help file example - you need:

ShellExecute($sFileToPrint, "" , "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Examples", "open")

2. You have a @CRLF at the end of the filename you get from DOS which is confusing AutoIt. You need to strip that with StringStripWS before passing the string to the print function:

Local $sFileToPrint = $sPath & StringStripWS($sLastFile, 3)

Top Tip: Always use ConsoleWrite with leading and trailing characters on a recalcitrant filename to check if there is unwanted whitespace - like this:

$Correct = "C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Examples\_ReadMe_.txt"
ConsoleWrite("-" & $sFileToPrint & "-" & @CRLF & "-" & $Correct & "-" & @CRLF)

That made the additional @CRLF immediately obvious. :(

By the way, you can use the "print" verb directly in the ShellExecute command - it might shorten the script a bit.
