_arraytrim

Recommended Posts

im not sure how to get this to work.

the file that is returned is like this. "client-company.config"

and i want to get rid of the "client" and the ".config"

$companynamesa=_FILELISTTOARRAY("\\"& (GUICTRLREAD($server)) &"\PalMate Client\", "client-*.config", 1)

GUICREATE ("Company Names On " & (GUICTRLREAD($server)), 300, 150)
    GUICTRLCREATELABEL("Company Names", 25, 25)
    $combo=GUICTRLCREATECOMBO("", 25, 50, 250)
    $start_c=GUICTRLCREATEBUTTON("&Next >", 200, 100, 75)
        $companynamesb=""
        FOR $i=1 TO $companynamesa[0]
            $companynamesb &=$companynamesa [$i] & "|"
        NEXT
    GUICTRLSETDATA($combo, $companynamesb)
    GUISETSTATE()
    WHILE 1
        $msg=GUIGETMSG()
            IF $msg=$GUI_EVENT_CLOSE THEN
                EXIT
            ELSEIF $msg=$start_c THEN
                GUISETSTATE(@SW_HIDE)
                EXITLOOP
            ENDIF
    WEND

and if i use the _arraytrim func to $companynamesa, in my combobox, there is no data that displays.

thanks for help

redLabel,

As long as all the file names follow the same pattern, this should work:

For $i = 1 To $companynamesa[0]
    $companynamesb &= StringRegExpReplace($companynamesa[$i], "client-(.+)\.config", "$1") & "|"
Next

Let me know how it goes. :mellow:
