bubamara
Hello everybody, I'm completely new to AutoIt, searched forums, but didn't find answer. I would like to ask, if it is possible with AutoIt emulate pressing steering wheel pedals. For example, after pressing key "A" on keyboard script will emulate pressing gas pedal on pedals. "B" - brake pedal, "C" - clutch pedal If it is possible, can someone navigate me or provide example script? Thank you, -bubamara

bubamara
Well, yes and no. It's not really important right now, but with different keys I would like to assign percentage of given gas : 25%, 50%, ... Of course in case, if its possible to emulate it in such way Hope you understand me, sorry for my english
Bert
You would need to hook into the control in question. Does the control have a keyboard version that one can use if they do not have the actual pedals? bubamara
Nope, you can only control it with steering wheel. Steering can be emulated with jmouse. Well, foot pedals too, but only as digital 0/1 input. That's why I want to emulate gas/brake/clutch pedals with different "pressure"
bubamara
Bump. Anyone can help me/guide me?
JohnOne
What volly said. The game/software in question will have its own files it installs for controling the pedals and for starters you would most likely need all the games technical documentation. Which is way out of my league. If it were me, I would start by experimenting with the keys to see If I could emulate the accelerator pedal by tapping the corresponding key at different speeds and durations. For example key down is going to be flat out, but a certain timed amount of key ups key downs could achieve the effect of leveling out your speed. If that was the case then some sort of mathematical formula would ensue to create a function, and I would go back to my crayon drawing. bubamara
Well, I was hoping for smooth input. Anyway, thanks for idea with tapping keys, I'll try it ...
bubamara
One more thing... There's an application called PPJoy. It can create virtual joystick and game can recognize it without problems. Can I set joystick's X,Y,Z axis via AutoIt? This should solve tapping problem... Thanks, -bubamara
