It is not really recommended to do this and many security apps will pick up on this straight away as suspicious behaviour. If you want to write files, why not use the current user's Application Data folder (you can use the @AppDataDir macro to find it).You might find this topic about where to store your data an interesting read. darkjohn20 Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 @WindowsDir points to the main directory for WINDOWS. In most cases this is C:\WINDOWS, but it isn't always.
