wildchars in win title

Hello.

If I am to specify a window title in a Win...() function, what wildchar can I use for a substring in the middle of the title string? The substring may vary in length.

At the top of the script

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2)

That matches any part of the title but remember Window titles are case sensitive.

You can convert your wildcards to a PCRE (Regular Expression) and use "[REGEXPTITLE:Expression]" to search. I have a converter for wildcards-to-RegularExpressions in my signature.

I was afraid of using mode 2 because of possible multiple matches. But I finally found a safe substring so it never occur twice.

No problem and be sure to read the special notes about Win Titles. If You have multiple windows that match the title then you can use the text parameter, again with whichever match mode is most suitable-- Opt("WinTextMatchMode", mode). Both titles and text are case sensitive.
