i want to drag a folder onto a script

hi all,

i'm looking to run an executable which will be run inside an autoit3 script.

the autoit script will sit and wait,

when i drag a folder onto it

will parse it for valid filetypes

pass those onto an exe file

the thing i dont get is how can i pass the %1 as argument.

$CmdLine doesnt seem to work for me using drag.

also, expanding on that, can i get all the nifty modefiers batch have?

i'm sure its all possible, everything is in autoit

What, exactly, will you drag and drop the folder onto? The compiled .exe file? The running script's taskbar button? A GUI?

i missed that response, question *was* kinda plain.

expanding on the idea

lets say i want to drag a link - from any of the major browsers - to a compiled script

i asked a similar question on stackoverflow and got nothing.

The Windows API treats dragging a web link as "Create Shortcut". It doesn't even open the link if you drop it on the icon for the browsers themselves. I don't know where you would change that behavior.
