In the full version of SciTE4AutoIt3 the Build (F7) will just create the script.exe and Compile (Ctrl+F7) will Show the GUI first.

Furthermore why do we have beta compile and build ?

We don't. There is a BETA run (Alt+F5) and Compile (Alt+F7).

That is an Option in the Tidy program. See the SciTE4AutoIt3 helpfile for all details.

*** Generate Documentation file for the Program With Func and Variable X-ref report

*** and optionally Display it with Notepad at the end of the Tidy run.

wimhek,

I presume we are talking about the SciTE <Tools> menu here. :(

Build runs the compiler directly using default settings and any #AutoIt3Wrapper directives in your script.

Compile pulls up the AutoIt3Wrapper dialogs so that you can modify any requirements before running the compiler.

The Beta options are there so you can run the Beta install if it is on your system. As there is no current Beta, you should not have one installed. But it looks as if SciTE still thinks you have one - go to <Options - Open au3.properties> and look for the line:

## Switch used to Enable/Disable all Tools used for AutoIt3 Beta

Change the line below to read:

#~ BETA_AUTOIT=0

and save. You should now no longer have the Beta options in the <Tools> menu. They will reappear when you install the next Beta.
