Haha! Okay, I figured it out. My bad. I actually was using the "start" command with my commandlines. Unnecessary to lauch apps that way within Autoit. Just a force of habit when I'm at a command prompt.

Silly me...!

coffeeturtle,

how to get the output of a command screen

Use StdoutRead: :(

#include <Constants.au3>

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "On_Exit")
Func On_Exit()
    Exit
EndFunc   ;==>On_Exit

_ReadCmd("time /T")

Func _ReadCmd($sCommand)

    Local $sText = ""
    Local $sLast_Ret = ""
    Local $iPID

    While 1

        $iPID = Run('"' & @ComSpec & '" /c ' & $sCommand, '', @SW_HIDE, $STDERR_CHILD + $STDOUT_CHILD)

        While 1
            $sText &= StdoutRead($iPID, False, False)
            If @error Then ExitLoop
            Sleep(10)
        WEnd

        If $sText <> $sLast_Ret Then
            ConsoleWrite(StringStripWS($sText, 3) & @CRLF)
            $sLast_Ret = $sText
        EndIf

        $sText = ""

        Sleep(5000)

    WEnd

EndFunc   ;==>_ReadCmd

M23,

That is really a big help! This is way better than the "foo.bar" example! Thank you!

I was in a rush trying to finish my script before the weekend, I ended up just writing results to a temp file and then using FileOpen/FileRead. I may revisit this using your example above! :-)
