[SOLVED] Combo box

Recommended Posts

I am trying to create a combo box that will put info into the box from a set ini file.

here is what I have so far

$c1 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "1st", $CN1)
    $c2 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "2nd", $CN2)
    $c3 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "3rd", $CN3)
    $c4 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "4th", $CN4)
    $c5 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "5th", $CN5)
    $c6 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "6th", $CN6)
    $c7 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "7th", $CN7)
    $c8 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "8th", $CN8)
    $c9 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "9th", $CN9)
    $c10 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "10th", $CN10)
    $c11 = GUICtrlCreateCombo($c1, 10, 30, 100)
    GUICtrlSetData(-1, "$c2|$c3|$c4|$c5|$c6|$c7|$c8|$c9|$c10")

and I have also tried it as

$c1 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "1st", $CN1)
    $c2 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "2nd", $CN2)
    $c3 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "3rd", $CN3)
    $c4 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "4th", $CN4)
    $c5 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "5th", $CN5)
    $c6 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "6th", $CN6)
    $c7 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "7th", $CN7)
    $c8 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "8th", $CN8)
    $c9 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "9th", $CN9)
    $c10 = IniRead(@ScriptDir & "\settings.ini", "C", "10th", $CN10)
    $c11 = GUICtrlCreateCombo($c1, 10, 30, 100)
    GUICtrlSetData(-1, $c2|$c3|$c4|$c5|$c6|$c7|$c8|$c9|$c10)

$c1 comes through, but neither way seems to work in getting the rest of the required info. Is there a separate function to do this? GUICtrlSetData(-1, "$c2|$c3|$c4|$c5|$c6|$c7|$c8|$c9|$c10")

Thanks for your input

cueclub,

You have to get the whole thing into a string. Try this:

GUICtrlSetData(-1, $c2 & "|" & $c3 & "|" & $c4 & "|" & $c5 & "|" & $c6 & "|" & $c7 & "|" & $c8 & "|" & $c9 & "|" & $c10)

Depends how your ini file contents are formated but probably something like

GUICtrlSetData(-1, $c2 & "|" & $c3 & "|" & $c4 & "|" & $c5 & "|" & $c6 & "|" & $c7 & "|" & $c8 & "|" & $c9 & "|" & $c10)
