Might there be possible to build of autoit script, that would read products from .ini file, in format:

[products]

PRODUCT-NUMBER=My product number one

XXXXXXX-XXXXXX=My product number two

And GUI will contain input box, for searching products from file.

The goal is get the x amount of matching lines, of typed text, just like in google etc.

and by clicking the result, it would choose the result, and add it to the listbox.

Is this even possible in autoIT...?

What a greatest thanks for every helpers!

Hi Jesse(are you dutch?),

The result you would like to have, can better be done with a database.

If you would like to use, I recommend sqlite for local or mysql if you would like to share.

And the result will be in a listview;)

Of course you can do it with an ini with lots of script, but that's a lot of spilled time (I think)

JesuZ,

Is this even possible in autoIT...?

It most certainly is! :)

Start by looking at the following in the Help file:

IniRead - to get the data from the ini file.

GUICtrlCreateCombo - to create a drop-down box so you can select from the list you read from the ini file.

GUICtrlCreateList - to make the listbox to hold the selections from the combo.

GUICreate - to make the GUI to hold all the above.

Then have a go at coding it yourself. You know where we are when you have problems.

Thanks for answers

I'm familiar with GUI, at least somehow...

And with iniRead also :)

Got nice two lists made of my config.ini :(

But now I should figure out how to act to events user makes...

Like onfocus in input field, it should clear input field default text, and when user starts to type, it would start to sort limit items in listview...

Thanks :)

PS. Oh, and Gideon, I'm finish :)

Any step-by-step guides exists?

Take a look at the SQLite.au3 file in the Include folder and User Defined Functions >> SQLite Management in the help file.
