Lock against your kid sister: yes. General lock against copy protection: no. Just looking at how DRM, OGA, WGA and all available proprietary schemes are failing flat on their nose one after the other (even with strong encryption buried deep in the firmware/hardware) should convince you that such a feature is generally impossible. This is independant of the type of software (AutoIt, C, Java, you_name_it) and of the hardware platform (PC, mainframe, embedded device) as long as the hardware is not completely tamper- and tempest-proof (and achieving that is almost impossible).

In short: if your software represents some value to some people, then it will probably be tampered with. The only protective measures you can take is aim at that circumventing the protection(s) you install will be clearly more costly in time/resource/energy than the cost of a legit copy. I'd also add "and the glory gained by eventually fooling you means peanuts to the mass".

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.
