omikron48 Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 I was just wondering, since I tried making an uploading script some time ago. Is the output of FileCopy and DirCopy 100% reliable? I mean, when the output for both is 1 how sure is it that the file/directory data has been transferred correctly without corruption? This applies more when transmitting data over the network to another computer. Is it necessary to do some checking after the copy function to ensure data integrity? Also I understand that for todays' Windows, flushing to disk means flushing to disk _surface_ (and not only HDD buffer). I might be overoptimistic, but I'd be surprised if it were not so, specialy for network operations. This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available).
