Giving a process top most priorities

Recommended Posts

I and many other magic jack user get very frustrated when either another program take CPU or internet from magic jack process.

The only solution seem to be to put magic jack on its own computer, with allocated top priority bandwidth in router/switch.

However this is not always practical to all users, or all situations, such as travel or laptop.

So what I wonder how to do is example

1)Set process to SYSTEM

2)Give process Highest priority, so that no other processes can cause it to lag and interrupt call quality

3)Give top most rights to bandwidth for same reason as bove

Any help would be useful

it is amazing how no one can help answer any of my questions lately.

I know... maybe a conspiracy?

But to stick to the original question:

1) Why would you?

2) ProcessSetPriority() ??

3) Increasing a process' priority should automaticly increase internet speeds for that process.

It does not seem to, it seems the only way to do this(give it top level resources, internet, etc) is to run it as a system user, and I dont know how to do that on windows 7.
