Hellooopsforgotsendcommand
I was a bit dissapointed in the tutorial section of the helpfile, I felt there could have been a few more examples put in there. There was one on automating an install of winzip and 2 about displaying text in notepad. That was it. Dont get me wrong its a very good helpfile but I think the tutorial section could be beefed up a bit. Just my opinion

Hellooopsforgotsendcommand
Noted as such. There are 2141 examples scripts in the helpfile on top of the tutorial.sure there may be lots of script snippets in there and i did say it was very good but I was referring specifically to the Tutorial section, which I think could be improved and I thought it was all about making AutoIt better and also the help file to be as good as it can. I thought peoples opinions mattered.
Tvern
I thought peoples opinions mattered. You sound a bit anoyed, but "noted as such" can quite easily be read as "I'm not taking offense and heard your argument".I hear your argument and although it's a while ago I went through the tutorial, I kind of agree. The tutorial section isn't much, but in return every script has one or more nice examples.Perhaps there could be a link to some of the nice tutorials here on the forum? It might help against all the topics regarding the improper use of arrays.

Moderators Melba23 Posted May 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 21, 2010 automatedfaults,There are excellent AutoIt tutorials for beginners here and here - other more specialist ones can be found in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if they prefer watching to reading. So you can see that there is plenty of help out there, over and above the 2000-odd examples in our excellent (but much under-read) Help file. But as there is always room for more, perhaps you might consider adding something to the Wiki yourself? Developers Jos Posted May 21, 2010 Developers Share Posted May 21, 2010 Don't think Jon ever intended for the Helpfile to be a "Learn how to script in Autoit3" helpfile but rather a reference for its syntax. The few Tutorials in there are just to get people going. Doubt if the Helpfile will ever be a comprehensive tutorial as that is not its primary goal. We spent a lot of time to make the documentation process such that the helpfile is always updated with all changes made to the language with each release made of AutoIt3 both Beta and Production.
