Replacing multiple strings at once?

Recommended Posts

It it possible to do this...?

$string = "ab12c32abc11234566"
Dim $s[3] = ["a", "b", "c"]
Dim $r[3] = ["1", "2", "3"]

StringReplace($string, $s, $r)

(I know that "StringReplace" cannot do this)

I remember doing something like this a while back with another function, but I can't seem to find it. Any tips?

I don't know about a specific function that can do this, but you could write your own up:

$string = "ab12c32abc11234566"
Dim $s[3] = ["a", "b", "c"]
Dim $r[3] = ["1", "2", "3"]

For $x = 0 To 2
  $string = StringReplace($string, $s[$x], $r[$x])
Next

Put your StringReplace in a loop

For $i = 0 To Ubound($s) -1
    $string = StringReplace($string, $s[$i], $r[$i])
Next
