array problem

I have an array like this that contains a string for StringRegExp function

Dim $Array[1][5]

$Array[1][0] = "(?i)\[[^]]*\] NAME(?:'s .*?)? ((?i)apple|orange)"

however because of the | its splitting the array into the 2nd column

how do i fix this problem?

You will always run into that problem when storing a regexp because anything used in an sre could potentially match whatever your data separator is. I do it by storing them as Binary and Then converting them back when I need them.

$array[1][0] = StringToBinary("(?i)\[[^]]*\] NAME(?:'s .*?)? ((?i)apple|orange)")

MsgBox(0, "Result", BinaryToString($array[1][0]))
