General question about debugging script

Hello,

I am a basic AutoiIT user.

I'm writing a script to read and manage very large txt files and I'm looking the best way to debug my script.

I currently use Stumpii Graphical AutoIt Debugger; it's a great tool but it seems to me that my application becomes too slow.

I like to use Scite and the "Debug to Console" feature to catch the variable value.

So I'm asking if Scite has the "pause/resume/breakpoint" features (without using the icon in the tray bar).

Alternatively, can anyone suggest me another debugger or how add this features directly in my script?

Scite doesn't have the debugging capabilities of using breakpoints and such that I'm aware of (please correct me if I'm wrong) but you can add this:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_Debug_Mode=y

To the top of your script and it outputs which line is running to the console so you can see which path it's taking through your script.
