svaneenoo
Hi all,I have a script that works perfectly with Internet Explorer 6, but not with Internet Explorer 8.It opens IE as administrator, opens a page in order to install an activeX control. In AutoIt the output is:>"C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\SciTE\..\autoit3.exe" /ErrorStdOut "C:\Documents and Settings\rwd_eenoo\Desktop\Install_ie7_8.au3" >Exit code: 0 Time: 1.909This is the codeRunAs($sUserName, @ComputerName, $sPassword, 0, '"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://rwd-apsv/RWDHlp/rwdhlp_sot.htm?url=http://rwd-apsv/gm/?format=doPerformSearch.shtml&source=HLP&P6=RWD_ACTIVEX_INSTALL_SEARCH::&F6=transaction_code&SO=rel&w=40&h=80&pos=1"')When I try a normal Run, it works...Does anybody have an idea why this Runas does not work with IE 8?Any is help is very much appreciated.Best regardsStefaan
PsaltyDS
What if you try your credentials with something else, like just: RunAs($sUserName, @ComputerName, $sPassword, 0, 'Notepad.exe "C:\Temp\Test.txt"') Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... Is now in Session! For those who want somebody to write the script for them: RentACoder"Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced." -- Geek's corollary to Clarke's law
svaneenoo
What if you try your credentials with something else, like just: RunAs($sUserName, @ComputerName, $sPassword, 0, 'Notepad.exe "C:\Temp\Test.txt"') The same problem. So it has nothing to do with IE. Has to do with the computer config. I am running windows xp, version 2002, service pack 3 Best regards Stefaan
