Screen Capture

Recommended Posts

I'm new to AutoIt and I don't really know how to start this script. I was wondering how I could do the following:

1) Use Prt Scr to capture the current screen

2) Open Paint and paste the image

3) Save it with a random name

** Will be using this more than once so can the name of the image be random numbers each time. Could this be set on a hotkey too?

First: Welcome to the world of AutoIt!

Second: Some short answers to your question:

1) Have a look at HotKeySet

2) and 3) Have a look at _ScreenCapture_Capture or _ScreenCapture_SaveImage in the ScreenCapture UDF (see help file: User Defined Functions -> ScreenCapture management)
