Execute a file within the path of AutoIT EXE

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to run a file that is in the same path and the file you would like to run. Without specifically the path.

for example i want to run an AutoIt Executable the is located in share\programs\Autoit. This file will execute another file (file2) in the same location. I dont want to specifically state the path of the new file I would like to execute. Is there a way to get the path of the file based on its location and use that path to execute my second file.

@ScriptDir & "\script2.exe"; This could also be a .au3 file.

A better method might be this

FileChangeDir(@ScriptDir)
ShellExecute("Script2.exe")

That allows you to call it with no path because it's now in the working dir.

@Geosoft - Even better. I wasn't confident of what that would do after compilation, and couldn't be bothered testing

Either one works fine compiled.
