_FileCountLines() returning 100000+ lines

MsgBox(0, "", _FileCountLines("FFL.txt"))

FFL.txt has 64636 lines, _FileCountLines() returns 164636

Any ideas?

The _FileCountLines function determines the number of lines by counting the @LF characters.

How do you count the number of lines and get the result of 64636?

Edit: I used Notepad++ and I get 164636 lines as well.

SciTE gives me 64636, so I should play around with the _FileCountLines() function, then?

When I open the text file with appl. below I get following amount of lines:

Notepad++: 164637

Windows Editor: 164637

AutoIt Test Script: 164636

ScieTE: (1)64637 -> SciTE cannot display more than 99999 line properly. It will cut the 1st digit.

Seems to be a limitation of SciTE. AutoIt and Notepad++ give the "correct" number of 164636.

If you scroll to line number 99999 you'll see that SciTE shows 100000 as 00000. So SciTE can only display line numbers up to 99999.

The problem, if there is one, may be someplace else. I use this one to count lines and I get the same return
