sleepydvdr
Scite Script Editor for Autoit shows the line number on the left side of the window. http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/ #include <ByteMe.au3>
enaiman
Your script has indeed 3500 lines but ... you forgot you have at least some #include statements at the top of your script. Every file included adds to the length of your script. Run the script in SciTE and see where the error is. I'm still amazed that the compiled script is giving you the script line number where the error is. From what I know, the compiled exe would give an error at "Line -1". I guess you're talking about the script ... In SciTE, double click on the output pane on the error and it should open the file where that is. GEOSoft
From what I know, the compiled exe would give an error at "Line -1".That has changed someplace along the way. The compiled file will show a line number but it will be the line number of the overall file taking into account the #included files. If you had a single file of 1000 lines #included at the top of your script then the line number being reported would be 1000 (999?) lines less than the number reported. jchd
Except that (AFAIK) empty lines, comments and #xxx lines are no more part of the script (discarded during compilation). So from what I see, the line # in complied scripts doesn't mean much. You need to rely on running under SciTe to give meaningful line numbers. enaiman
Of course you can replace #include statements with the file content; just put the constants declarations and global variables at the beginig of the script and add the functions at the end. If that's the way you want to go, it will work.
