GuiCtrlCreateEdit BUG

Recommended Posts

I have created GuiCtrlCreteEdit , but it has some limitations:if copy and paste a large text file, that is bigger than 30 kb of text, won't be copied.I have created a bigger Gui box, but the result is the same. Why it can't paste all the text into the GuCtrCreateEdit box?

AutoBot,

It is not an AutoIt bug - I believe it is Windows limitation on Edit controls:

"the default limit for the amount of text a user can enter in an edit control is 32,767 characters"

Try using the _GUICtrlEdit_SetLimitText command from the GuiEdit UDF to increase the size your edit can handle.

Please let me know if it works - I have never tried it myself! :P

It worked, i added just like you said, the #include<Guiedit.au3> because i forgot to add, then i have added _GuiCtrlEdit_SetLimitText($Gui_1,0).After thet it worked like a charm.Thank you Melba
